Variance #2242 Richard & Shirley Rinker, C/o Nathan & Christa Miller (Quiet Corner Tea & Coffee Room) - Requests a Use Variance from the Unified Development Ordinance (Article 2.03 & 5.52) to allow relief from the UDO for the to continue the use as granted by variance #1535 (non-transferable). To allow facilities to be used as a cafe' and small event center. Commercial kitchen - used for occasional cafe - no more than 3 days per week 8am-10pm. Public rental as a small event and/or meeting space - no more than 200 in attendance at any time. Event rentals to allow the kitchen for onsite use - Weddings, funeral dinners, birthday parties, tea parties, wedding showers, holiday parties, non-for-profit rental, and small corporate events also, to allow the continued use of the sign at the road (est. 4x4'). Real estate is located in Section 1 of Green Township, quadrant 300, parcel 003, common location known as 0919 S 500 E Avilla, IN.

Variance #2243 Earl E & Mary J Hochstetler - Requests a Development Standards Variance from the Unified Development Ordinance (Article 5.12.01 Animal Density Standards) to allow less the UDO of the required minimum setback of a 100' separation from any livestock operation to be at 40' from the south property line for construction of a 44x270 225-calf barn (includes a 9x270 feed ally). Real estate is located in Section 9 of Elkhart Township, quadrant 400, parcel 007, common location known as 10816 N 400 W Ligonier, IN.

Variance #2244 Lyle & Katie M. Yoder - Requests a Variance from the Unified Development Ordinance (Article 2.22 & 5.08 Accessory Structure Standards) to allow less the UDO minimum waterside setback of 75' from water’s edge to be at 20’ for construction of a 16x24 open pavilion. Variance #2245 Wayne V & Sue Ann Fry- Requests a Variance from the Unified Development Ordinance (Article 2.03) to allow an addition to Variance #1419 (approved 4-4-01) and Variance #1806 (approved on 10/7/09) to allow additional construction to the existing woodworking shop of 60x120 for cold storage.
